Hi, I am Iris, and I am passionate about supporting two groups of people: those living with persistent pain and those navigating scoliosis.
I completed pain education with the Neuro Orthopaedic Institute (NOI Group) in Australia and have undertaken postgraduate studies in Pain and Pain Management at the University of Otago.
Over a decade ago, I trained in 'Schroth Best Practice' and have since been dedicated to helping young people and their families manage the challenges of scoliosis as they transition into adulthood.
I also support adults with scoliosis who are focused on minimizing curve progression or managing pain. My experience includes working with both full spinal fusion and VBT (Vertebral Body Tethering).
As a certified Pilates instructor trained in both Classical and STOTT PILATESĀ®, I approach pain management using a biopsychosocial model. While I integrate elements of Pilates, my work is tailored to each individual and may include pain education, psychosocial support, functional movement, relaxation techniques, and myofascial release.
